JUST THE FACTS.... PLEASE!
Residential housing sales in Greater Vancouver rose 94% in February compared to the month before. However, when you look at West Vancouver sales, it tells a different story! Last year in February we had 56 house sales, this year we’ve had only 27.
Unfortunately, this does not bode well for prices as house sales continue to drop year over year. On the other hand, what is interesting is that for four consecutive months we have seen a decrease in the amount of homes for sale.
What we are looking for is the “initiating buyer” to come into the market, which usually starts at the low end and works its way up the chain. Currently that is the market segment that is seeing most of the activity right now, especially with such low interest rates. Now we just need to see a few more put “pen to paper”.
It’s important to know, through these tough times that homes do sell, and experience in these types of markets is important. Lauren and I have been through it before and the key to our success has been doing all things possible to sell your home all of the time!
