Inventory Moving Up
As usual, when Spring comes the amount of homes available to buy increases. In the past week we have finally crossed the 400 mark of homes on the market (424 at time of writing). This mark is where we find the market is more of a balanced one. Buyers tend to not feel the pressure to buy as there is a little more to look at. Sellers can still expect to receive a fair market value for their home, it’s just that cases of bidding up of prices become fewer and far between!
Dundarave and Ambleside still are the most active areas by far and have been the driving force in keeping prices up in West Vancouver. The apartment market is lagging behind, as our foreign buyers are focusing on “land”, which is making buying an apartment in West Vancouver easier than in years past.
This month I have also attached an article brought out by the Real Estate Board on how to Green your home that I thought might be of interest.
As always, it remains an exciting time in the real estate market here on the North Shore. If you’d like more details, or have questions or comments, please contact me directly at 604-889-9449.
